The workshop invites participants to explore Fabric Formwork casting, an experimental technique used in architectural and sculptural practices. Through hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to create intricate, organic forms by casting plaster into elastic membranes. Each participant will produce a unique sculptural piece to take home.
The workshop is led by Frederik Petersen, Architect, Artist, PhD, and Assistant Lecturer at the Royal Danish Academy – Institute of Architecture and Technology. The session will be conducted in Danish or English, depending on participants’ needs.“Partaking in the IMPACT FESTIVAL is an opportunity to share my practice-based research on material experimentation at the intersection of art, architecture, and technology.”
- This workshop is messy; participants should wear work wear and work shoes.

Do you want to Experience knife making? Here is your chance.
This is a 4 hour course on how to make a marking knife (Kiridashi) . You will learn the fundamentals of knife making like grinding, stamping, heat treatment and sharpening. And you get to go home with your own custom marking knife.
Bring closed toed shoes and long trousers. Eat a good lunch before the workshop and please be sober.

This is not a workshop. This is a look into the process behind digital fabrication.
The design and production department fabricates projects for architects, designers and artists.Ida is a seasoned metal and woodworker. Whether the project requires construction in wood, metal or textile she can either make it or find just the right supplier to get the job done. With a background working as a production manager in the architectural field she understands the priorities and details of our client's projects and puts a pride in delivering projects on time and within budget while respecting the overall vision.
Thomas works as fabrication manager for the design and production department. As a fabrication manager he details and produces projects for our diverse mix of clients spanning design, art, architecture and most things in between. He is educated as a designer but over the years he has become specialized in digital fabrication with a focus on CNC production.
